===== Document analysis methodology =====

The analysis of spatial development documents produced a total of 182 different transnational needs. Most of these individual needs contain a detailed description of 
  * the transnational dimension, 
  * the added value that can be expected from respective improvements and 
  * obstacles that currently impede a transnational spatial development.

To be able to carry out a quantitative analysis of this data collection, we carried out two steps:
  * Step 1: We indexed each individual entry with an individual keyword
  * Step 2: We summarised related keywords to a keyword category.

As an example this stepwise approach looks like:
