**Guidelines on intermunicipal commercial location development **

Policy makers, civil servants/administration/planner/scientists/specific institutions; Municipal economic departments, spatial planning offices, local development institutions. Cities, villages, regiona, location managers, regional developers.\\

Comunis pilot areas: Leiblachtal and Großes Walsertal (Vorarlberg), Tarare (Rhone-Alpes), Martigny/Sion/Sierre (Region lémanique), Alpsee-Grünten (Schwaben), Val Passiria/Passeiertal (Alto Adige/Südtirol), Gorenjska (Slovenia).

Time frame__\\
Results have been elaborated during the entire duration of the project  (01/07/2009 - 30/06/2012). No specific timeframe for the applicability of results, as guidelines offer the process and methods to foster intermunicipal cooperation and provide hints and suggestions for intermunicpal process of strategy development.

__Transferability and re-usability__\\
The applicability of the instruments listed in the guidelines may be subject to restrictions in some cases, which are based on federal or national differences of e.g. legal planning system, different systems of municipal funding. This concerns in particular the (legal) ways of organizing the implementation of intermunicipal commercial location development. This does not apply for tool of analysis, methods and process for evaluation. Guidelines are specifically addressed on how to apply and adapt inter-municipal CLD strategies to other local/regional challengers, conditions and potentials.
