 In some interpretations, goods and benefits are treated as synonyms. In the CICES system goods and benefits are defined as “things that people create or derive from final ecosystem services (see [[:wiki:final_ecosystem_services_alpes|final ES]]). These final outputs from ecosystems have been turned into products or experiences that are no longer functionally connected to the systems from which they were derived. Goods and benefits can be referred to collectively as ‘products’ (Haines-Young & Potschin 2013, p. 9) ((Haines-Young, R. & Potschin, M.
