Synergies – Internal and external costs of living and commuting

MORECO and ACCESS offer certain solutions to minimise internal and external costs of living and commuting. They are both offering recommendations applicable to planners to change planning practices in order to achieve that. Planning residential areas with low residential and mobility costs (MORECO), improving the accessibility by innovative means of public transportation (ACCESS) and at the same time improving the quality of life and access to general services is a common point of both projects. Both projects also emphasise the role of public institutions and planning practices in improving accessibility and lowering mobility costs of the population.
