Synergies – Toolbox for analysing mobility, settlement patterns and service provision
Combining the pilot experiences from the two projects covers a vast variety of territorial types, from dynamic urban regions (MORECO) to rural and mountainous regions (ACCESS). Putting all the tools together, the two projects offer a toolbox for analysing mobility, settlement patterns and service provision for planners and mobility practitioners. ACCESS offers in addition some best practices from the pilot sites that may improve access to services, especially using ICT.
Both projects come up with practical recommendations for a sustainable development of settlements, services provided by them and mobility. The MORECO white book is a transferable governance strategy and shall serve as a guideline for regions/territories who want to implement some of the tools. ACCESS presents more specific recommendations that shall help to better take into account services of general interest in the legal frameworks, e.g. in spatial planning.
