The study highlights similarities and differences between the AS countries and sought to understand the institutional or technical obstacles in order to identify more effective modes of governance. The study might thus be reused as knowledge base and point of departure for other governance/planning studies. Also, it might inform national stakeholders on dynamics in other alpine countries and raise awareness for transnationality.
